Elizabeth A. Carver

"Elizabeth A. Carver is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary musician, currently occupied with laboring over her second album under “Roseate Opera,” or manning a complex array of samplers, synths and guitars for Shearling. Her music fills a room with a vaporous miasma. She follows her heart, always.

Her debut record, “The Cart Before The Horse,” is a memory in a triptych stained-glass piece. The good kind. That stuff they don’t make anymore that can only be restored with great difficulty. Expensive to craft but is also utterly worthless on the resale market. The record is liturgical, it is autobiographical meticulousness, it is a Rothko, it is a transmission from beyond the pale."
