Plasm is the North Carolina (former Boise-based) experimental solo electronic project of Yash Srivastava, started in 2009. Manic polyrhythms, pseudorandom noise generation, and tongue-in-cheek motifs are trademarks of Plasm’s offbeat sound. Plasm’s debut on Mishap Records will be the physical release of Molting (2020), an album that strives to evoke the dissonant disaster of the year 2020 with melodic noise and some intentional idiocy.
